The Fool (the first Tarot card) represents new beginnings, having faith in the future, being inexperienced, not knowing what to expect, having beginner's luck, improvisation and believing in the universe. Depicted as a beggar or a vagabond, he wears ragged clothes & stockings without shoes, and carries a stick and bindle on his back.

In Jungian theory, that is Psychoanalysis; an archetype is defined as a primitive mental image inherited from the earliest human ancestors, and supposed to be present in the collective unconscious.
